“We were so happy to find Danny at Bowen’s via Bark… His prices seem very fair and our patios now look 100 times better. He arrived on the dot of 9am this morning as promised and both men worked really hard to finish the job before dark.”
Landscaping and gardening in Hethersett
Hethersett sits about five miles south-west of us, just off the A11. Close enough for regular visits, and big enough that the gardens vary a lot street to street.
Gardens in Hethersett
Hethersett has grown a great deal, and it shows in the gardens. Older properties around Great Melton Road and the village centre have established plots with real structure to them, often with hedges and trees that have outgrown what the garden can carry. The estates built more recently have generous gardens by modern standards but very little in them yet.
Those two situations need opposite things. An established garden usually needs taking back and reshaping, which is clearance work before it is landscaping. A newer one needs something built into it: a patio that gives you somewhere to sit, fencing that gives you privacy from a close neighbour, raised beds that give the space some structure.
Getting to you Five miles out along the B1172 puts Hethersett comfortably within our regular round, so maintenance visits work here as well as one-off landscaping projects.

Questions from Hethersett customers
01. Our hedge has got completely out of hand. Can it be saved?
Usually, yes. Most overgrown hedges can be cut hard back and will come again, though conifer is the exception because it will not reshoot from old wood. We will tell you honestly which one you have before cutting, because with conifer the choice is between living with it or taking it out.
02. Can you fence between us and a close neighbour?
Yes, and it is one of the more common jobs on newer estates where houses sit close together. Height limits generally mean two metres at the rear and one metre where it faces a road. Adding trellis on top of an existing fence is often enough and costs a good deal less than a new run.
03. Do you charge extra for coming out to Hethersett?
No. Quote visits are free wherever you are in our area, including the ones that do not turn into work. Travel is not added on top of a price either.
