Garden landscaping and makeovers in Norwich

If your garden has never quite worked, a makeover puts it right in one go. We handle the whole thing, from taking out what is there to laying the last slab.

What landscaping and garden makeovers covers

A garden makeover is the full job. We take out what is not working, sort the ground underneath, and rebuild the space so it suits how you actually want to use it. That might mean a patio big enough for a table, a level lawn instead of a slope, or somewhere the children can play that does not turn to mud every winter.

Danny trained in carpentry and joinery before moving into landscaping, which shows in the timber work. Decking, raised beds, steps and fencing are built properly rather than thrown together, and they are set out to line up with the rest of the garden.

Working to a budget

Most gardens can be done more than one way, and the difference between materials is often the difference between a job you can afford now and one you keep putting off. We will tell you honestly where spending more is worth it, and where it makes no real difference once the garden has grown in.

Common problems

What this service solves

  • The garden is unusable

Sloping, waterlogged or just a patch of tired grass with nowhere to sit. A makeover deals with the ground first so the finished garden actually works.

  • It has been done piecemeal

A bit of paving here, a fence panel there, none of it matching. Doing it as one job means the levels, materials and finish all line up.

  • You cannot picture it

Plenty of people know what they dislike but not what they want instead. Danny will walk round with you and talk through what the space can take.

How it works

What happens, step by step

  1. 1

    Free visit and measure up

We come out, look at the levels, soil and access, and talk through what you want to use the garden for.

  2. 2

    Ideas and a written price

You get a quote broken down by the parts of the job, so you can see what each element costs and drop anything you would rather leave.

  3. 3

    Clear and prepare

Old surfaces come out, the ground is levelled and dug out to the right depth, and any drainage is sorted before anything goes down.

  4. 4

    Build and plant

Hard landscaping first, then timber, then turf and planting. We work through in order so nothing gets damaged after it is finished.

  5. 5

    Tidy and hand over

Waste goes on the van, everything gets swept and washed down, and we run through how to look after the new planting.

Frequently asked questions

Landscaping and garden makeovers questions people ask

01. How long does a garden makeover take?

It depends on the size and how much groundwork is needed. A small courtyard might be three or four days, while a full rear garden with patio, fencing and turf usually runs to a couple of weeks. We give you a realistic timescale with the quote rather than an optimistic one.

02. Do you design the garden as well as build it?

For most jobs Danny works it out with you on site, sketching the layout and talking through materials. We are landscapers rather than garden designers, so if you want detailed planting plans drawn up we are happy to work alongside a designer you have appointed.

03. Can the work be split into stages?

Yes, and plenty of customers do it that way to spread the cost. We would normally do the groundwork and hard landscaping first, then come back for fencing or planting later.

04. What happens to the old patio and rubbish?

It all goes with us. Waste removal is included in the quote unless we tell you otherwise, so there is no skip left sitting on your drive.

05. Do you work in Norwich only?

We are based in Eaton and most jobs are in and around Norwich, but we cover Norfolk and Suffolk for larger projects. Send us your postcode and we will tell you.

Across Norfolk and Suffolk

We are based on Pettus Road in Eaton, so a lot of our regular work is within a short drive of south Norwich. For landscaping projects we travel right across Norfolk and Suffolk.
