Garden maintenance in Norwich

Regular visits that keep the garden under control, so it never gets to the point where it needs clearing out and starting again.

What garden maintenance covers

Garden maintenance is the everyday work that keeps a garden looking after itself. Grass cut and edged, hedges kept in shape, borders weeded and shrubs pruned at the right time of year. Done regularly it is quick, and the garden never reaches the stage where it needs rescuing.

We work for households across Norwich on weekly, fortnightly and monthly visits, and for a few customers we simply come twice a year to cut everything back hard. Whatever the garden needs.

What we do through the year

Spring is cutting back, feeding the lawn and getting on top of the weeds before they seed. Summer is mostly grass and hedges. Autumn is leaves, pruning and putting beds to bed. Winter is the quiet time when we tackle the bigger structural jobs like taking hedges back hard or lifting overgrown shrubs.

Common problems

What this service solves

  • It runs away from you

Two wet weeks in June and the grass is ankle deep. A regular slot means it never gets far enough ahead to become a big job.

  • You have not got the time

Plenty of our customers could do it themselves and would simply rather spend the weekend on something else.

  • It is getting harder to manage

Hedges, ladders and heavy mowers stop being sensible at some point. We take on as much or as little of it as you want.

How it works

What happens, step by step

  1. 1

    Free visit

Danny looks round the garden, works out how long it takes and how often it needs doing.

  2. 2

    Agree a schedule

Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, whichever suits the garden. Some customers just book a spring and autumn tidy.

  3. 3

    Regular visits

We turn up on the agreed day and get on with it. You do not need to be home, as long as we can get to the garden.

  4. 4

    Kept in touch

If something needs attention that is outside the usual visit, a tree coming down or a fence panel gone, we let you know rather than just doing it.

Frequently asked questions

Garden maintenance questions people ask

01. How often should the garden be done?

Through the growing season most lawns want cutting every one to two weeks. Over winter it drops right back, so many customers move to monthly visits from November to March. We will suggest what suits your garden when we visit.

02. Do I need to be at home?

No, as long as we can get in through a side gate. Plenty of our regular customers are at work when we come.

03. Do you take the clippings away?

Yes. Grass, hedge trimmings and prunings all go with us unless you would rather keep them for your own compost heap.

04. Is there a contract?

Nothing tying you in for a year. We agree the visits with you and you can change or stop them by letting us know. Some customers prefer something in writing and we are happy to do that.

05. Can you take on a garden that has already got out of hand?

Yes, though it usually makes sense to do a one-off clearance first to get it back to a sensible state, then start regular visits from there.
