Long garden overgrown with waist-high grass and brambles before clearance work began

Garden clearance in Norwich

Overgrown gardens taken back to a clean, level space you can actually walk across, with everything loaded up and taken away.

What garden clearances covers

A clearance is the job that comes before everything else. Grass that has not been cut in a couple of years, brambles through the fence, ivy pulling at the shed and a border you can no longer find. We cut it all back, dig out what needs to come out, and load the lot onto the van.

What you are left with is a clean, level space. From there you can decide whether to turf it, pave it, or simply keep it in check with regular visits.

Empty houses and probate properties

We are often asked to clear gardens at properties that are being sold or have stood empty for a while, sometimes for families who live nowhere near Norwich. We are happy to work from photographs, keep you updated, and send pictures of the finished job.

Common problems

What this service solves

  • It has been left too long

Empty properties, a spell of ill health or just a busy few years. Gardens go from tidy to impassable faster than most people expect.

  • You are selling or letting

An overgrown garden puts buyers off before they reach the back door. A clearance is usually the cheapest thing you can do to the outside of a house.

  • You want to start again

Before any new garden can be built, everything that is there has to come out. Clearance is the first stage of most of our landscaping jobs.

How it works

What happens, step by step

  1. 1

    Look at the access

The main thing that decides the price is how we get the waste out. Danny checks the side access and where the van can park.

  2. 2

    Fixed price agreed

You get a price for the whole clearance including disposal, so there are no surprises when the last load leaves.

  3. 3

    Cut down and clear

Everything comes down to ground level, brambles and roots included where they need to come out.

  4. 4

    Loaded and taken away

Waste is loaded and disposed of properly. You are left with a clean slate, ready for turf, a patio or just a fresh start.

Frequently asked questions

Garden clearances questions people ask

01. How much does a garden clearance cost?

It comes down to how much there is and how easily we can get it out. A small back garden with side access is very different from a large plot where everything has to come through the house. Danny gives you a fixed price after seeing it, and that price includes taking the waste away.

02. Do you dispose of the waste properly?

Yes. Green waste is taken to a licensed site rather than dumped. We will provide our waste carrier details on request.

03. Can you clear a garden at an empty or inherited property?

Yes, we do a lot of these. We only need access and someone to confirm what is staying and what is going. We can send photographs when it is finished if you are not local.

04. Will you take out the old shed too?

Yes, sheds, greenhouses, old fence panels, pots and rubble can all go. Mention them when we quote so they are included in the price.

05. What happens after the clearance?

Some customers just want it kept tidy from then on, which we can do on regular maintenance visits. Others use it as the starting point for a new patio, turf or a full makeover.
